Kristie Gonzales
"Kristie Gonzales was born in Southern California and grew up in New Mexico, where most of her family still resides. She studied painting in college and graduated with double honors from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Her first big break in TV came when she was hired as a Production Assistant at KNME-TV, where producers taught her everything from lighting to directing to animating.
Kristie moved to New York in April 2014 after holding various management positions in television stations across the country. In her previous role, she was the Creative Services and Local Programming Director at WTVD-TV in Raleigh-Durham, managing a staff of almost 30 employees. From 2010-2013, she was Creative Services and Public Affairs Director at KFSN-TV in Fresno, CA. It was there she helped bring in the largest food donation ever to the Central Valley. She started in the ABC Owned Television Group in 2006 when she was hired as a Promotion Writer and Producer at WPVI-TV in Philadelphia.
Kristie is the former Promotion and Digital Brand Manager at WABC-TV, New York’s number one television station and the most-watched station in the United States. She oversaw all marketing of Channel 7 Eyewitness News as well as the growth strategy on their social and digital channels. In 2016 Kristie took over as President and General Manager of KVUE-TV, the ABC affiliate in Austin, TX."
