Haddaway, Ed

Ed Haddaway is a fine arts sculptor based in Albuquerque New Mexico, working primarily with steel. 

Haddaway received his BFA in 1972 from the University of New Mexico. However, he considers the true basis of his art education as rooted in his childhood experiences and nurtured by a lifetime practice of producing art work and exhibiting it.

Ed writes, “I built things for much of my life and I have had to learn the power of waiting: waiting for an idea or form to rear its head, waiting so that I can clearly see what can be seen in my mind’s eye, waiting for the finish of my work to arrive, and waiting to see where what I have built will land in the world. And I continue to do so — waiting for my inner world to come within reach, so that it can exist outside of me. What things really are is never all that clear”.
