Preparing Veterans For The Civilian Workforce

June 17, 2016 – According to the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions the unemployment rate among veterans in New Mexico is at 7.3 percent. Over 160 thousand veterans currently live in our state. We wanted to hear what community leaders and local organizations are doing to help address unemployment among the veterans. NMiF producer Sarah Gustavus sits down this week with Chris Zafra from Department of Workforce Solutions, Richard Coffel from New Mexico Veterans Business Outreach Center and Terry Armstrong from Goodwill Enterprises.
