June 22, 2018 – This week, President signed an executive order to end the process of separating children from families after they are detained crossing the U.S. border illegally, but problems still remain. As a border state, this is a very tangible issue for us here in New Mexico, especially as one of the detention centers in Texas is very close to our state’s border. Gene Grant and the Line opinion panelists look at how that proximity impacts the way New Mexicans weigh the issue, and what effect the situation might have on midterm elections.
