‘Failing Miserably’ at APD
November 13, 2020 – Gene Grant and The Line opinion panelists talk about two new issues in the Albuquerque Police Department: an overtime audit that showed two officers making more than $100,000 last year in overtime pay alone, and another excoriating report from an independent monitor appointed to oversee the department’s unconstitutional policing practices. The monitor has been at it for 6 years and his most recent report to a federal judge said APD was “on the brink of catastrophic failure” to adopt meaningful reform.
Host: Gene Grant
