Work Search Requirement Reinstated
May 14, 2021 – New Mexico’s Department of Workforce Solutions is reinstating the job search requirement that it put on hold during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that businesses are reopening and expanding, those receiving unemployment support will again have to prove that they are actively seeking work. The Line opinion panelists discuss the timing of the new ruling, the worker shortage, and the shortage of living wage jobs.
