NM’s Child Welfare Shows Modest Improvement
June 25, 2021 – The Line opinion panel discusses New Mexico’s seemingly permanent place near the bottom of an annual child well-being survey. According to the recently released Kids Count report, the state is no longer last in the rankings, moving to 49th place in the nation. Are these baby steps of improvement worth celebrating?
