She’s also a member on the National Task Force on Election Crises. We talked to Kleinfeld last October about her research and work on reducing the possibility of violence surrounding our elections. She also spent a few extra minutes with correspondent Russell Contreras to discuss why nonviolent expression is the most effective type of protest in charged times like these, given the Black Lives Matter movement and upcoming midterm elections in 2022.
