DA Sam Bregman on Supporting Pretrial Detention Bill

2.2.24 – Senior Producer Lou DiVizio asks Bernalillo County District Attorney Sam Bregman why he supports changes to pretrial detention in the state. This interview was recorded days before Senate Bill 122 was tabled in committee. The proposal would have required defendants in some felony cases to convince judges they are not a danger to the public to be released from jail before trial.
