Project 2025 and NM; Rep. Teresa Leger Fernandez

This week on New Mexico in Focus, two longtime politics watchers break down how the policies recommended in Project 2025 could shape the lives of New Mexicans if Donald Trump wins the White House in November. First, political psychologist and author Martha Burk and Democratic former state senator Dede Feldman parse the differences and similarities between Project 2025 and Agenda 47 — the official Trump policy platform. Executive Producer Jeff Proctor asks the two to consider how the immigration policies outlined in both documents would play out in New Mexico. Later, Jeff asks what Project 2025 means for abortion rights and access in our state.

We also continue our election interviews with U.S. Rep. Teresa Leger Fernandez, D-N.M. Politics Correspondent Gwyneth Doland asks the congresswoman how her work in D.C. has addressed the unique economic needs of the communities she represents.
