Ethics Oversight, Student Letters, Atrisco Land Grant

This week on New Mexico in Focus, we look at proposals to improve the ethics
oversight of state lawmakers. Democratic State Senator Phil Griego resigned
last weekend over his vote on a state real estate deal that he was involved
in as a broker.

Gene Grant and this week’s Line panelists share their thoughts on Griego’s
resignation, politics and higher education, and whether student letters
published recently in the Albuquerque Journal truly represent the writing
skills of New Mexico students.

Correspondent Floyd Vasquez sits down with Peter Sanchez, CEO of the Atrisco
Companies, to talk about the history of the Atrisco Land Grant and the role
of heirs in current debates over development.
