Addressing Gun Violence in New Mexico
March 30, 2018 – The student-led March For Our Lives event in Albuquerque last week drew thousands of people out into the streets and to Tiguex Park near Old Town. But student organizers says it is only the first step in their efforts to address gun violence here in New Mexico.
Producer Sarah Gustavus sat down this week with four organizers to talk about why the issue of gun violence is important to them and what they plan to do next.
Guests:
Riazullah Alkozai, senior at Highland High School
Zoe Craft, sophomore at La Cueva High School
Blair Dixon, freshman at UNM
Jonathon Juarez-Alonzo, sophomore at Native American Community Academy (NACA)
