Some Q & A from our recent mayoral candidates forum, plus Gene Grant and the Line panel
This week on New Mexico in Focus – a look at the Albuquerque mayoral race as the election nears.
New Mexico PBS and the Criminal Law Section of the New Mexico Bar Association held a forum for candidates vying to be the next mayor of Albuquerque. They answered questions about behavioral health services, economic development and the Albuquerque Rapid Transit project. They also addressed many issues on crime and public safety. Some questions and answers will be featured on this week’s program; the full interview can be found on the NMiF website.
And NMiF host Gene Grant and the Line panelists debate some of the top stories in news headlines this week, including how opponents of Albuquerque’s proposed sick leave ordinance are now taking to their battle to the New Mexico Supreme Court. They also discuss concerns over accreditation at the University of New Mexico, and look at how the Duke City’s mayoral race is shaping up.
