Balloon Fiesta Security Heightened | The Line
September 27, 2019 – The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta will lift off in just over a week. Always one of the state’s biggest tourist draws, this year’s event will come with some pretty big security changes. Organizers have placed metal detectors at all of the public entrances to Balloon Fiesta Park. And undercover officers will be spread throughout the festivities. Host Gene Grant and The Line opinion panelists talk about if the clamp-down is too much, too little, or just right. They also debate whether the measures are a sign of the times.
Line Panelists:
Merritt Allen, Vox Optima LLC
Michael Bird, Public Health Consultant
Jeffrey Candelaria, Konnection Now & KKOB
