Community-Based Forest Management in Northern New Mexico
4.22.2022 – In the Carson National Forest, there’s a new model for community forestry—and it’s based on longstanding traditions in New Mexico. The Cerro Negro Forest Council is modeled after the acequia system, and it’s meant to be good for the forest and those who live close to it.
