Former UNM President Abdallah Moves On To Georgia Tech
August 3, 2018 – Former UNM president Chaouki Abdallah has served in a range of leadership roles at the university over the past thirty years. He led the university during a contentious time when financial mismanagement in the Athletics Department was in the headlines. Abdallah says he has enjoyed his time in New Mexico and at UNM but he was offered a unique opportunity at Georgia Tech. Host Gene Grant sat down with Abdallah to talk about his career at UNM and how he thinks the university can continue to improve access to higher education for students from all backgrounds.
