2016 Legislative Session, U.S. Senators Martin Heinrich and Tom Udall on the Gold King Mine Spill

This week on New Mexico in Focus, host Gene Grant and the Line opinion panelists discuss the upcoming legislative session. Lawmakers will meet in Santa Fe next week for a 30-day session. Along with creating a new budget, elected officials will have the chance to debate legislation on other issues like public safety, ethics and a proposed salary increase for state workers.

Correspondent Stan Wilson sits down with a student from UNM and an employee from LANL to talk about the challenges some young people in New Mexico face as they begin to study and pursue careers in the STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
