Local Teen Poet Focuses On Syria In Latest Book
May 6, 2016 – Ludella Awad has watched the crisis in Syria unfold on television from her home in Albuquerque, but she has a personal connection to that country. Awad is Syrian-American and she still has family in the country. Awad has published two books of poetry. Her latest “Sad Piano Music in Syria” is a collection of 43 poems.
NMiF producer Sarah Gustavus sits down this week with Ludella Awad to talk about her writing process, reactions to the news in Syria and her hopes for the future.
