Newspaper Man Steve Terrell
December 13, 2019 – Over the course of four decades, Steve Terrell’s byline became a familiar sight to generations of newspaper readers in Santa Fe. After cutting his teeth on music reviews for the Santa Fe Reporter, Terrell moved to the Albuquerque Journal and then to his home for more than 30 years, the Santa Fe New Mexican. For most of the past 20 years, he covered New Mexico politics with a combination of a quick wit, an eye for important details and a seemingly inexhaustible library of Roundhouse lore. In November, Terrell tapped out his last regular column for the paper. He joins NMiF producer Matt Grubs for a conversation about how politics and politicians have changed during his years in Santa Fe.
