Primary Races Recap
June 5, 2020 – Gene Grant and The Line opinion panel analyze some of the notable wins and losses in the New Mexico Republican, Democratic, and Libertarian primaries held this week. A group of progressives ousted key conservative Democrats in a handful of primaries, and the impact will change the state Senate, long considered a more conservative body than the House. Plus, two conservative Republicans ousted more moderate foes from their Senate seats. New Mexico’s federal races have also come into focus, and the group looks ahead to November.
