Sen. Peter Wirth Disagrees with Pretrial Detention Bill

2.2.24 – Correspondent Gwyneth Doland speaks with Majority Floor Leader Sen. Peter Wirth on why he opposes changes to pretrial detention in the state. This interview was recorded days before Senate Bill 122 died. The bill would have required defendants in some felony cases to convince judges they are not a danger to the public to be released from jail before trial.
