The Line: ABQ Receives Some Federal Funds For ART Bus Project
July 20, 2018 – The City of Albuquerque announced it will receive $14 million dollars in federal grant money as reimbursement for expenses related to the Albuquerque Rapid Transit, or ART, project along the Central Avenue corridor. But whether the “promised” $75 million more in grant money will come through remains to be seen. Mayor Tim Keller says the city should learn in the fall if it can count on the money. If not, the city will have to cut back on future infrastructure projects. Gene Grant and the Line opinion panelists discuss the city’s progress in moving the ART project forward.
