The Line: The 2018 Race For Governor
May 19, 2017 – Politicos in New Mexico are already talking about the 2018 governor’s race. Current Governor Susana Martinez is term-limited. Representative Michelle Lujan Grisham (D) announced she will run next year. Other announced democratic candidates include Jeff Apodaca and Peter DeBenedittis. Attorney General Hector Balderas announced this week that he will seek re-election next year and will not run for governor. Representative Steve Pearce (R) indicated to local media recently that he is considering a run for governor.
