December 22, 2017 – In ninth place in our annual “top ten” list this year is protests in September at the Santa Fe Fiesta during the “Entrada de Don Diego de Vargas” re-enactment. Protestors say the annual event is an inaccurate view of the return of Spanish colonists to the city following the Pueblo Indian Revolt of 1680 and many Native American activists want to see the “Entrada” abolished.
