Manuel "Manny" Valdez

"Manuel Valdez (Manny) is a Senior, majoring in Strategic Communications within the Department of Communications & Journalism. A native of northern New Mexico, Manny previously interned at KOAT-7 as a news and creative services fellow, publishing stories for their digital platform, shadowing producers, reporters, anchors, producing station promo images, and cutting daily topicals. Prior to joining KNME, he served as a Student Communications Intern for the University Communication and Marketing Department. Manny is also a freelance photographer and is certified as an FAA drone pilot!"
